Stroud Electrical Services is an NICEIC approved electrical contractor based on Rowcroft, in the middle of Stroud. We install, test, maintain and design electrical systems for homes, businesses and industrial sites across Gloucestershire, from a single socket in a Cotswold cottage to three phase distribution in a working warehouse.
We have been trading as Stroud Electrical Services UK Ltd since 2009, and our electricians are directly employed rather than subcontracted. You get the same team, the same standard of finish and the same certification whether the job takes an afternoon or six months.

Being based in Stroud is not a marketing line for us. Our office is at 10A Rowcroft, our vans are on the valleys roads every day, and a good share of our work comes from customers who have seen us on a job down the road. We have wired the fit-out at Lavish Beauty Therapy on Stroud High Street, upgraded the lighting at Gastrells Primary School, and worked on the ongoing electrical contract at Woodchester Mansion.
When you book, you get a confirmed appointment window and a tracked notification when the engineer is on the way, so you are not waiting all morning. Our electricians turn up in marked vans and uniform, cover floors and surfaces before they start, and clear up before they leave. Quotes are free, and for anything larger than a typical job we will come and look at the existing installation before we price it.

We handled the full design and fit-out for the second Daikoku Ramen at Gloucester Docks and the installation at The Courtyard in Cheltenham.
Industrial electricians
Three phase power, distribution boards, containment, machine connections, high bay lighting and planned maintenance for warehouses, workshops and manufacturing units. At Bath Road Garage in Eastington we carried out an EICR, then rewired the building and installed a new three phase board off the back of it.

I was eligible to apply for a government business grant to contribute towards the cost of the installation. The DVLA side expectedly said that they would not pay the grant. Paul (the MD) agreed to not charge me the balance until the issue was sorted out one way or the other. It took about a month but the DVLA side got sorted out and the grant came through.

From the first contact with Stroud Electrical Services I have found them professional and helpful. Following a phone call a visit was arranged, where we talked over what needed to be done and Paul took some notes and photos. He informed me that he would get a plan drawn up and send us a quote, setting the expectation that it might take a little while to put this together, good to his word the plan and quote was sent. We traded questions and answers before we finally agreed exactly what was to be done. My questions were always answered quickly and politely. A date was fixed when the install could be done. The crew and Paul arrived as arranged and the work began. All the staff were professional and easy to talk to and be the end of the first day a large part of the work was complete (partly due to a second crew being seconded in due to them being unable to start on the job there where scheduled at). By lunchtime the next day the work was complete, tested and everything tidied.
Everyone is happy with the upgrade and the speed and quality of the work. I would not hesitate to recommend Stroud Electrical Services, they have professional staff, good systems in place that keep you informed and most importantly they do what they say they will do.
I am very pleased for the work done by jamie and his colleague They were punctual and came round at the agreed time to change radiators in the property. The area was left neat, tidy and they cleaned when the job finished. Both guys behaved in a professional way and were respectful.
